Friday Five

ONE | I love Christina's bright pink blooms she shared for #TSFridayFlowers!  It would definitely cheer me up to walk outside and see that beauty swaying in the spring sunshine.  Don't forget to include the hashtag on your floral photos to see them featured here on the blog, too.  And don't worry if you share them on a non-Friday - we're not super strict with rules around here. :)

TWO | I had my last client session before baby's arrival this week!  It's a little sad to know I won't be shooting again until September but there's still plenty of editing to do to keep my photog eye busy.  And I was lucky enough to end the spring season with two awesome engagement sessions, which makes me even more excited for the fall/winter season.

THREE | The Husband and I are planning to have a mini-vacay before baby.  I guess you'd call it a babymoon but we're only going away for the weekend and we're staying here in NorCal for the trip.  We're getting just a little too close to the due date for me to feel comfortable traveling much further!  Part of me wishes we were able to take a longer vacation -like, a week or two- but I'm glad we'll at least have this one last trip just the two of us.

FOUR | Speaking of baby's imminent arrival, I'm pretty sure the nesting instinct has skipped right over me and gone straight to The Husband.  Other than the basic unpacking and settling in that inevitably comes with moving, I've been focusing all my extra energy on work-related projects.  The Husband, on the other hand, has a running to-do list of all the things he wants to set up/get done around the apartment before baby joins the household.  Last weekend, we spend part of Mother's Day painting and every night he has come home from work and done a new project - assemble baby's wardrobe, assemble baby's changing table, etc.  Last night he asked me, "So, when should I plan on doing the baby's laundry to get all the clothes ready?"  Can you tell he's excited?

FIVE | One last baby comment, I promise.  We had childbirth and infant care classes last week and in some ways, it left me even more nervous than before.  I love that I have all this information and knowledge about what to expect but, at the same time, I'm a little freaked out precisely because I know what to expect!  I'm not as nervous about the infant care part.  I've babysat kids and babies of all ages and nannied full-time for over three years, so I feel fairly confident in my "keeping it alive" skills.  But the labor/delivery part?  Oy.  Can't say I feel as confident in that.  I think when I'm feeling freaked out, I'll just look at these pictures for a little smile.
