Back in the fall, I did a shoot for Jordana Paige's fall line of handbags. Originally, she started out designing beautiful, stylish handbags geared towards knitters, with plenty of room for all the things a knitter needs. But the bags have evolved into something everyone can love, whether you're handy with the knitting needles or not. To show the versatility of the bags, we went for more of a lifestyle session, with a few product shots mixed in for good measure. First up was the beautiful Bella. A sweet little bag perfect for everyday errands, long days at the office, or a fun night out.
(A little behind-the-scenes at our lovely model, Loni, getting ready before heading out for the shoot.)
After the Bella photos, we headed out to shoot the newest addition to the Jordana Paige family, Cora. Don't be fooled by her simple ladylike design though - Cora is really three bags in one. You can carry her on your arm, use the cross-body strap to carry her over your shoulder, or -the best part- unzip the front little pocket for an elegant wristlet/clutch! How cool & creative is that?
Okay, funny story time. As we were walking over to Hyde Street to shoot, we were talking/joking about how cute it would be if we had a little dog to complete the look. Not 15 minutes later, the former volunteer coordinator at the shelter where I volunteer walked by with this adorable little pup! She was more than happy to let us borrow her for few shots and, I have to say, I think it was fate. I mean, her leash even matched the model's outfit!
Three lovely colors to choose from with Cora!
And finally, we shot the lovely Quinn, which was probably my favorite of the three bags. I love a large tote-style bag and this one definitely fits the bill. With plenty of interior pockets (including one for a water bottle!), a zippered divider, and an exterior pocket for easy access to things like keys and cell phone, Quinn has plenty of room to fit all.the.things. I might just order this one for myself and check it off as a "baby purchase" because I could easily slip a bottle, some diapers, a toy or two, and an extra little baby outfit in it - and not look like I'm carrying a typical diaper bag!
Not only are her handbags gorgeous, but Jordana herself is also a lovely lady inside & out. She was a joy to work with, along with Melanie Kluger (stylist) and Melissa Hoffman (makeup artist), and we had a blast on our shoot. Jordana also hosts monthly giveaways and offers exclusive sales to her subscribers so check out her website and get yourself signed up for some pretty little handbag deals. :)
