For those of you new to the Twosday link-up, the rules are simple:

1. Share two photos every Tuesday with minimal words.
(If you share your posts on Twitter, be sure to use the hashtag #TwosdayLinkUp )

2. Remember to grab the button below or link back in your post so more people can join the Twosday party.

3. Visit 2 other entries and share some love.  Let's support and encourage each other to pick up our cameras (or phones!) and play a little!

Next week's theme: Relax

Outtakes

I'm almost always uncomfortable in front of the camera and even more uncomfortable sharing photos of myself -selfies seem to be the height of vanity sometimes- but I had quite a few outtakes from August's self-portrait theme for the Twosday link up so I thought I'd share a few with you. In doing these, I came up with a character that I wanted to portray through the photos and used that to guide me in the posing and composition to help alleviate some of the awkwardness. Thinking of it as an art project rather than "pictures of me" made it a lot more fun, and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!

I think this black and white one is my fave. I just wish that a) I'd taken my ring off for the photo and b) I hadn't cut my fingers out of the frame!

What about you? Are you comfortable in front of the camera?

Sunday Reading

sunday reading link love on twentieth street

Happy Sunday, lovelies! I hope you've been enjoying your weekend so far. There's lots of editing to be done today, as usual for a Sunday during wedding season but, lucky for me, football is perfect to have on in the background. Niners and Cowboys and Bears, oh my! And lucky for you I have some fun web links to entertain you this Sunday afternoon. You know, in case football isn't your thang. ;)

Do negative experiences make you bitter or better?

Love this almost-elopement. They just walked into a park, found a pretty spot, and got married. So simple and so perfect.

Raquel & Tim | A Sunny Spring Wedding in Sonoma

When I arrived at the house, the mood was light and joyful, completely free of the usual nerves and jitters that can so easily take over a wedding day. Raquel munched on yummy cheeses while her bridesmaids made mimosas to toast the day. Their musician friends rehearsed the ceremony songs in the next room, filling the air with notes of love and romance.

When the last curl was pinned and the finishing touches on the makeup were complete, Raquel headed out to greet her groom. Tim's face lit up at the sight of his lovely bride, and he basically didn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. Not even a Real Housewife wedding crasher could dampen the day.*

We had a little fun with wedding party photos before heading to the ceremony at El Dorado Kitchen. The bride and groom had the whole restaurant to themselves for a sunny ceremony in the courtyard and a colorful reception indoors, with cheerful gerber daisy centerpieces dotting the tables and natural light flooding the room. And of course, after steak & cake and beers & cheers, there's nothing like a good dance party to cap off the night!

Raquel & Tim - thank you for inviting me into your circle and allowing me to capture such a beautiful day for you two. I wish you nothing but the best of the best as you journey through life together forever. ♥
