We also stumbled upon two sweet horses enjoying the fall morning (one of them even looked like he was smiling), a few ducks out for a swim, and a family of about a dozen raccoons just hanging out along the trail, watching us as we watched them. A couple out with their dog were right behind us and as soon as the raccoons sensed the dog, they scattered. I managed to grab a quick photo right before though. We were at the park for less than an hour and stayed in the same general area near the bison, but saw so much in that time, it felt like we were there all morning. We jokingly said we could probably visit the park every Sunday morning for the next six months and still not see everything within its boundaries. It was the perfect start to the day and made an afternoon of work much more tolerable.
The orange-yellow moss on this tree made it look like it was glowing. I'm maybe just a little obsessed with it.
What did you do this weekend?
