Happy Weekend!

granny smith apples

This is the first weekend since August 10th (yes, almost exactly two months ago) that I've had off, and I mean truly off - no shoots, no weddings, no wedding planning.  I'm planning to use the time to catch up on work, have coffee with new clients, celebrate our niece's baptism, and probably make a few apple-flavored goodies, too.  I've been experimenting with gluten-free alternatives to my apple crisp recipe, plus we got a new juicer recently, which I'm totally obsessed with (thanks, Anya!) so I have big plans to turn some fresh-pressed apple juice into deliciously spicy hot apple cider.  It's time for Fall and I to get reacquainted.

What are your big plans for the weekend?

  1. Ah, it sounds like you have a lot of lovely things lined up! I love baking apple goodies during this season. In fact, I'm going apple picking for the first time since my childhood this month! Enjoy your weekend! :)

  2. I'm officially moving in with my fiance this weekend, which is exciting and terrifying and daunting all at once . . . packing up my childhood bedroom is proving to be quite interesting, but I'm determined to power through. I already had my guy pick up some serious hard apple cider as our reward to be savored on Sunday night, haha. Just want to get it over with and commence with the wedding planning! (Four weeks to go.)

Hope you enjoy your well-deserved free time! Everything sounds lovely. I'd love to try my hand at apple crisp -- yum. So happy it's fall!
