All of Yosemite feels so grand, majestic, glorious even. I almost felt overstimulated wandering the trails. I also almost felt like I was on the verge of a heat stroke. 105 degrees can do that to a gal. But it's all good because we were in Yosemite! We had towering trees stretching their leafy green limbs towards the heavens and giving us lots of shade from the burning sun. We found cool streams to rinse our sweaty hands and flowing rivers to cool our hot, achy feet. We weren't about to let triple digit temps ruin Yosemite for us.
This little squirrel reminded me of Molly.
Bridalveil Fall. Amazed.
I brought my little Minolta along for some fun, too, so I'll have some film photos to share with you when they're back from the lab. The Fiance caught me totally off guard in an action shot and, yes, I'm wearing shorts. It only happens when I hike.
The Fiance also shot this one as we drove through a mile-long tunnel right through the mountains and headed back to our haunted hotel. More on that coming soon. . . .
"Yosemite Valley, to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green and golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space."
- Ansel Adams
