Friday's Fancies | Dress Yourself

This week's Friday's Fancies is all about self-expression by dressing yourself.  Now, there's no way this outfit would ever be practical in my current real life.  Actually, there's no way my wallet would let me wear this particular outfit ever, even if I wanted to.  And, boy, do I want to.  I want to be that girl.  I want to be the girl who can pull off a sexy sequin sweater with booties and a single piece of statement jewelry.  Maybe for a date night.  Maybe for happy hour with my ladies.  Maybe for a holiday party.  There are many ways a girl like that can make this outfit work.

Alas, I'm a little too awkward to be that girl.  So I'll just hijack Friday's Fancies and daydream about being that girl instead...

1. Sweater  |  2. Ring  |  3. Clutch  |  4. Booties  |  5. Jeans

Picture it with loose, messy waves like this -

Happy Weekend!!!

  1. I'd love to be the girl who can actually walk in those shoes (and I mean walk, not awkwardly stomp or hobble) without pain and look good doing so... I don't think that's ever going to happen either - so I know how you feel ;-) Have a great weekend xo

Very pretty outfit! I think I might be a little too awkward to pull off something so minimalist-chic as well, haha!

  6. I say you should try to be that girl for one day. Who says you can't be that girl? You can be whoever you want to be. You won't know if you're that girl until you try ;)
And it doesn't need to be this exact outfit, you can always find cheaper versions!

  12. You know... if you're trying to think of something to buy me for Christmas I'd like that ring. I really wanted it, and then I saw the price. Ouch!

I think you can totally pull off this outfit. Go get it! But I agree with Ana... get the cheaper version of it. (:

Thanks, too, for stopping by my little ol' blog :) it means the world to me. truly! As far as Texas is concerned, I'm studying at TCU and love it. I know a quite a few kids from San Antonio and they all rave about it. How's San Francisco!? Whenever I go to California I always go South, never North. I would love to visit someday!
