DC, So Far

Hello lovelies!!  Boy, have I missed you guys.  My Google reader is in the triple digits right now and I feel like Towelie when it comes to world news.  That being said, Maryland & DC have been amazing so far.  Except for the allergies, but we're blaming Sandy for that one.

The Boyfriend took some Nyquil last night (yes, I know it's for colds, not allergies, but don't tell him that) and I'm pretty sure this is the first time in about 6 months that I woke up before him, so I thought I'd give you a little update on the trip.  My wedding photography duties were officially over yesterday so we headed into DC for some sightseeing.  We went to the National Museum of American History and spent about two and a half hours just going through the war exhibit!  It's The Boyfriend's first time in DC (and only my second) so we really took our time soaking it all in.  But we also realized we may not be able to do everything we wanted while here - there's just so much to see!

After the American History museum, we headed over to check out the Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.  I have so many photos from the big cam to share with you next week but, for now, a few Instagrams will have to do.  As much as I'm loving the trip, I'm looking forward to getting back to my regular schedule and catching up with everything going on in your necks of the woods.  Hope you're all having a lovely week!

  3. I love your Instagram shots, that one of the Washington Monument is just beautiful! Can't wait to see more photos. I've never been to DC... it's on my list of places to see some day. I can only imagine trying to squeeze everything in during a short amount of time. Yikes!

  5. Hi Stephanie, if you're still there I highly recommend the Natural History Museum & the Steven F Udvar-Hazy. If you fly out of Dulles, this museum is very close to the airport. Leave a few hours early to see everything.
