As soon as Buster Posey caught that ball, the city went nuts.
We stood outside our front door and could hear the honking and cheering (and the occasional fireworks) coming from the Mission - almost two miles away from our 'hood.
It was like urban surround sound.
But I have another, very selfish, reasons to be extra-pumped about this win.
We get to go to a parade. A parade, people!
I love parades. (I used italics right there so you know I'm serious.)
And this one will be an orange & black Giants parade on Halloween.
When the White Sox won the World Series in '05, I missed a pretty awesome ticker-tape parade in Chicago.
Because I had to work.
I was totally bummed about it. And I'm not even a White Sox fan.
When the Giants won in 2010, I missed another pretty awesome parade.
Because I had to work. You guessed it - bummed again.
I have to work this year, too, but I'm not missing this parade. No siree Bob.
Lucky for me, my boss is a Giants fan, too. :)
LET'S GO GIANTS!!! *clap clap clapclapclap*
