Boots are my favorite part of fall fashion. Wonderful, luscious, lovely, chic, tall boots. They're my favorite type of shoe. Hands down. And come fall, I just can't get enough.
Last year, I found the perfect pair of boots. They were comfy, cute, and the most buttery shade of caramel I've ever seen. And they were on sale! I loved those boots. Loved them too much, perhaps. I finally let them out of hibernation a week or two ago and one of them has a huge, weird stain on it! It looks like someone poured oil or something right on top of the shoe. (Does anyone know how to get unidentified stains out of leather, btw?) I'm afraid my beloved babies are ruined.
So ... I'm in the market for a new pair. I'm really drawn to knee-high styles more than anything else but every once in a while, a bootie catches my eye. Here are a few of my faves lately:

I'm pretty sure those are the Steve Madden's I picked up this summer. I'm looking forward to boots too!
Find a reputable shoe repair person in your area (ask around --some will be better than others) and take them in. They might have a better idea of what's going on.
Love your boot choices ... especially the Bonnie Boots from Anthropologie. While I love and miss summer already, I'm definitely ready for fall and boot season :)
Oh nooooooo. I WANT. I like the Fryes and the Tory Burches. I have Fryes with the similar type heel and it can get a little exhausting if you're planning on walking a long way in them

I love number 4! So pretty and classic. I am realizing that none of my boots are comfy which is horrible - I need new ones!
Try cleaning the stain with a baby wipe (a scented one). I had a small stain on my boots (frye's) and the baby wipe worked! Good Luck!
If the baby wipe doesn't work, try a shoe cobbler, they maybe able to help you!

I LOVE boots. I had only one pair in Brazil, even though I didn't need to, since it never gets cold enough for boots there. I basically live in my boots all fall/winter long. Though I haven't felt a smidge of fall around here yet.
Oh boy. I love number 1 also.... but I can vouch for number 2 because I own them and love them. They go with everything and are super comfy.... plus a fairly affordable price tag never hurts! (:
You're speakin' my language :-). Yup, I love boots! All shapes, sizes, colors, and materials (and booties too). Can't wait to break them out of their summer hibernation. LOVE those #1s...such a pretty color!
3 and 4 are great. also - go to a cobbler and they'll help you with the boots you already have. the cobblers here in nyc work magic and don't cost a lot.

Ughhh. I knew number one was Frye before I even clicked over. My heart aches I want them so much. One day I'm going to invest in a pair or three... It's a life goal.
