Awkward & Awesome

AWKWARD
- After I left the gym yesterday, I made a quick stop at the post office.  I was standing in line, waiting patiently, when all of a sudden I got a whiff of some nasty b.o.  I had an internal freak out because I thought it was me.  I mean, I did just leave the gym.  But then I noticed that the smell got stronger as some dude approached me.  It was a bittersweet moment.  The smell was definitely not coming from me, but I had to stand in line next to Smelly Man for almost 10 minutes.

- Molly is going for the gold in guinea pig gymnastics.  While running laps in her cage yesterday (something she does when she's really excited), she popcorned mid-lap.  Her happy little jump propelled her out of her cage and onto the little shelf we have above it.  When she landed, she froze -eyes wide with shock- and clearly had no idea what just happened.  Luckily I was right there to catch her before she fell back in!

AWESOME
- Overhearing The Boyfriend fight with our obnoxious printer.  He would probably put this in the Awkward category but it's pretty entertaining to hear this from the next room:

"What? Jam?  There's no jam in the machine."

(banging around as he double-checks for a paper jam)

"Ok, Printer.  I'm telling you, THERE IS NO JAM!!!"

"What?  Again? ... ugh, I hate you."

- Team USA!  Not only did Misty May & Kerri look amazeballs last night, but USA pulled ahead of China in the medal count.  And a lot of those medals belong to women athletes.  Holla!

- Speaking of holla, I have five little words for you.  Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.  I know, I know.  It's so bad, I can't even believe this is on TV right now.

  2. After reading this, I had to google "guinea pig popcorn" because I had no idea what you were talking about. Then I got stuck in a YouTube black hole of popcorning. Hilarious. Thank you for that.

  9. Yuck, b.o. is definitely the worst thing about summer. Deodorant isn't hard, people!

Haha, The Boyfriend's fight with the printer sounds just like mine (except mine usually has a few swear words in there too). Damn technology.

  10. I love the "Just call me Gabby Douglas" photo! That is way too cute!

Also, your boyfriend's fight with the printer reminded me of this, which I'm sure you/he has already seen, but it makes me laugh every time. :P

  12. I saw a preview for that Honey Boo Boo show and I couldn't believe it. I get that her family is pretty messed up anyway, but having that on TV will make her life so much worse. It's definitely a new low for that network.
