Weekend Snippets

This past Saturday was one of the most relaxing Saturdays I've had in a while.  The only thing on my schedule was a family portrait session in the evening so we slept in Saturday morning, lounged around for a bit, then I sat outside in the sun with my book while The Boyfriend went for a run.  I even got a little sunburned.

It was a glorious afternoon but it didn't last very long.  When I left for my photo session, the sun was shining and I even turned the AC on for a bit.  When I arrived at the location on the other side of the city, the fog rolled in and the temperature dropped at least 10 degrees.  By the time we ended the shoot, my fingers were numb from the cold wind.  That's how quickly the weather can change in San Francisco.

But the sun came back on Sunday (way to be obvious Mr. Sun), and we hosted a lovely Mother's Day lunch.  We made spaghetti and meatballs (with homemade meatballs and sauce), spinach and goat cheese salad, and tiramisu for dessert.  And then ate leftovers for dinner.  And will probably eat more leftovers again today for lunch.  I maybe made just a liiiittle too much...

(PS - Totally unrelated but I thought you should know that The Boyfriend actually requested to watch Real Housewives last night.  God I love that man.)
