Wanderlust: Paris

1.11.2012

For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed about going to Paris.  I studied French in high school, then again for a semester in college, and for a few years more at Alliance Française after college.  And yet ... I've never been to France.  So today, I'm taking a little trip through pictures.

After people-watching from sidewalk cafes and viewing the Eiffel Tower from every possible angle, we'd head over to Ladurée for some yummy macarons.

Even the street signs in Paris are cool.

Wanna come along? :)

  3. YES! I want to come. I'm still soooo pissed at my practical father over this whole "taking French" thing. "you don't need to speak French, Christin. this is california. i need you to be able to tell the gardeners to trim that tree over there". uggghhhhh

p.s. very coincidental that your post is about Paris as my husband is there for work right now, and the silly thing is that i can't think of a single thing to ask for him to bring me from this amazing city.

  17. I've always wanted to go to France too! I don't know a lick of French though, sadly. But I guess it wouldn't matter too much... I'd just be eating my way through anyway. :)

  19. For some reason, Paris was never especially high on my list of travel destinations, but now that I have gotten some of the main ones checked off (Barcelona, Rome, San Francisco, New York, London - still missing: Berlin, Vienna, Florence, Prague) Paris actually popped up on my list and where up until a few years ago, if offered a trip to Paris I would have asked to trade it for another destination, now I would actually not mind it a bit ;-)

Well, at least we have Ladurée in Zurich :-)
