Fab Friday's Fancies | Golden Anniversary

Happy Veteran's Day!! For all of our veterans and their families, thank you for all you do. Your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed and I am grateful beyond words.

This week just so happens to be the 50th week of {av}'s Friday's Fancies. In honor of the big 5-0, this week's theme is Golden Anniversary. At first, finding something that fit the theme was a bit of a challenge. All the gold dresses I came across just felt a little cheap to me. Then I thought, "What about gold shoes?" I hopped on over to Anthropologie's Bhld and found these little beauties. I wanted to make an outfit that would allow you to wear these little flashes of gold and sparkle even on a plain old boring week day. I think the key is to keep the rest of the outfit simple.

1. Cable-stitch sweater
2. Slim jeans
3. Metallic thread scarf
4. Gemology flats - the stars of the show!
5. Pearl ring
